Be like the sunflower …

This week the flowers finally bloomed on the Neuse Greenway at Mial Plantation. A good friend of mine rides the trail and was sure to let me know when those were ready for photographers. Chad E and I had a date night with some friends on Wednesday and then made our way down Rock Quarry Road to Battle Bridge to Brownfield until we came upon the field right off the road. I was beyond thrilled to see this many sunflowers in one place! They are my absolute favorite flower in the world. Their brightness makes me smile every time. I always feel like they are looking up to God giving him praise just as we should each day.
Thank you Lord for such beauty in such a dark world sometimes.

This weekend, for Chad’s Fathers Day, we went to a Carolina Mudcats baseball game and while there I must have snapped a million and one pictures! This one stood out to me specifically for the joy that can be seen in that sweet smile of his!

Documenting Summer Awesomeness
This year has been adventure in documenting our life story, one week at a time. It’s so fun to look back as I go and see all of the awesome memories we are making. God is good.
